FAQs

Fair questions. Straight answers.

What’s included in the complimentary review?

One hour with Annie by phone or video to discuss your business, what isn’t working, and what you want to achieve. You’ll receive a brief follow-up summary of potential priorities and how Sense Make could help. It’s an initial review, rather than a full business audit or detailed implementation plan, and there’s no obligation to continue. In-person arrangements can be discussed separately.

Can we arrange an NDA before we talk?

Yes. Let us know when you get in touch, and we can arrange a mutually agreed non-disclosure agreement before you share confidential business details. You can keep your initial message general.

Do I need to know exactly what I need?

No. Start with what isn’t working or what you want to do differently. Understanding the real problem, deciding where to focus, and figuring out how to achieve your goals are all part of the work we’ll do together.

Is my business too small?

No. Sense Make is built around the needs of your business, not its size. A useful question is whether there’s a specific problem to solve and enough value in solving it. An initial conversation helps establish that fit.

Do you help implement the recommendations?

Yes. The work can include putting agreed changes into practice: setting up systems, improving workflows, clarifying responsibilities, and helping your team adopt a new way of working. Implementation responsibilities are defined in the scope.

Is this only for businesses that want to grow?

No. Simplifying the business, reducing unnecessary spending, and getting time back are worthwhile goals. The plan starts with what you want from your business.

What areas do you serve?

Sense Make is based in Loomis, California, and offers on-site meetings and support in Loomis and nearby communities. We also work remotely with businesses across the U.S. and internationally. Limited travel can be discussed when a project calls for it. We’ll agree on an approach that fits your location and the work we’ll do together.

Can I work with your Business Operations Specialist?

Yes. Projects can include a Business Operations Specialist for implementation, coordination, systems setup, process improvements, and ongoing support at $70/hour. As Founder & Principal Consultant, I lead strategy, recommendations, and client decisions, and direct and review the work at $175/hour, billed separately. We agree on responsibilities, scope, availability, and expected costs before work begins.

How much does it cost?

Your initial one-hour business review and brief follow-up summary are complimentary. Further work is priced according to scope. Before paid work begins, you’ll have a proposal explaining the work, the total investment, and the expected benefits. Cash savings, time recovered, and operational improvements are considered separately, with realistic assumptions.

Can you help us get started with AI?

Yes. We start with the problem and the tools you already use, then identify practical opportunities—such as clearer communications, reporting, or a recurring workflow. The agreed scope can include implementing a workflow and training your team, with human oversight, clear checks, and ownership.

Do I need new software or AI?

Not necessarily. Sometimes the best improvement is a simpler process or better use of what you already have. New technology should solve a clear problem and be worth the cost and effort.
